Functional Fitness Class
A high-intensity fitness program incorporating elements from several sports and types of exercise.
An athletic discipline in the modern Olympic program in which the athlete attempts a maximum-weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates. The two competition lifts are the snatch and the clean and jerk.
A form of competitive weightlifting in which contestants attempt three types of lift in a set sequence. The competition lifts are squat, bench press, and deadlift.
Training for strongman involves building overall strength in the gym and training with competition implements to gain familiarity. In the gym, it is necessary to train the entire body for strength, especially with variants of the squat, deadlift, and overhead press. Also important is explosive power, developed by weightlifting-style lifts, and cardiovascular conditioning. Grip strength must also be developed. Strongman events include Atlas Stones, Logs (Log Presses), Farmers Walk Bars, Yokes (Yoke Walks), Kegs (Keg Tosses), and a vehicle pull.
This is a full body high-intensity workout. You will be having fun with some light weight training, Cardio, Kettlebell work, easy gymnastics and finally toning all the right places!
